Shen Youran, the eldest daughter of the Shen Group, returned to China after studying abroad and interned at a branch of her family's company while concealing her identity. Her father, the president of the Shen Group, worried that her identity would be revealed and asked her to keep a low profile. Following her father's instructions, Shen Youran prepared a dilapidated bicycle as a means of transportation. This was to avoid drawing too much attention during her experience at the branch and to help her better understand the real situation of the company.
