For three years, Julian Reed gives up his career as a top attorney to support his wife, Vivian Carter. When her first love returns, she takes on his divorce case with great enthusiasm, allowing others to belittle Julian. Bitterly disappointed, Julian divorces her and makes his return as a courtroom legend. Only then does Vivian realize that the man she once cast aside is the very opponent she respects most.
