Single mother Li Cuilan devotes her life savings to build a future for her son, only to be told she cannot attend his wedding — her divorce shames him. Heartbroken, she takes back all she gave: canceling the wedding apartment, selling the marital house and cutting off funding. Manipulated by his birth father and others, son Lin Jiajun publicly humiliates his mother with paint. Later, his identity is stolen by his father to borrow three million yuan, leaving him disabled and blind. When Lin Jiajun kneels to beg forgiveness in remorse, Li Cuilan has let go of the past. She focuses on her career and starts a new life with Jiang Zheng, who has waited for her quietly for two decades.
