Mu Yao inherits a huge family fortune, only to be targeted by her husband Jiang Anci—who colludes with her best friend Bai Luo to seize her assets. The pair plot to kill Mu Yao while she is giving birth, then send her body to the crematorium to destroy the evidence. Just as disaster is imminent, Mu Yao’s brother Mu Lingchuan arrives in time to save her. Jiang Anci flees with Mu Yao’s wealth and lives a life of luxury. Months later, Mu Yao returns under a new identity, joins Jiang Anci’s newly-founded company in the guise of an investor, and sets out to take back everything that belongs to her.
