Su Wanqing, the 25-year-old heir to a wealthy fortune, is overwhelmed by grief after her beloved Shen Qingyan sacrifices himself to save her. She crosses paths with Gu Yanshen, who bears an identical birthmark, and they enter into a "substitute marriage." However, Gu Yanshen loses himself to jealousy and allows others to destroy Shen Qingyan’s relics, prompting Su Wanqing to end the marriage without hesitation.Later, she rescues Zhao Siyu and discovers that her comatose brother is none other than the supposedly deceased Shen Qingyan—who survived the accident with severe injuries and amnesia. Desperate for money, Gu Yanshen kidnaps Shen Qingyan to extort Su Wanqing. During the confrontation, Shen Qingyan regains his memories, exposes Gu Yanshen’s plot, and is injured again while protecting Su Wanqing. After successful emergency treatment, Shen Qingyan awakens, and the two rekindle their past love. Shen Qingyan proposes to Su Wanqing at his design exhibition. A year later, they welcome a daughter, embracing a fulfilling and happy life, with the shadow of the substitute marriage completely fading away.
