Chinese-American designer Elena was driven away by her wealthy boyfriend William’s mother five years ago. She gave birth to their son Nathan alone, who suffers from leukemia.Five years later, she returns to Boston with her son for medical treatment and reunites with William, now an orthopedics professor. Blaming Elena for abandoning him years ago, William harbors deep resentment, unaware that Nathan is his biological son. After the truth comes out, the two endure countless hardships, including car accidents, a miscarriage, and forced exile abroad, before finally reuniting as a complete family.
