Qin Yu, a lifelong single college student, wakes up and travels back to 1987. She becomes the wife of Lu Xiangdong, a captain of a confidential unit, and the unpopular stepmother of two kids.Faced with a tough start — an aloof husband, hostile children, meddlesome neighbors and a scheming rival coveting her husband — Qin Yu thrives with her modern knowledge and outgoing personality. She wins the kids over with fried chicken, amazes others with fluent Russian, and warms her stern husband’s heart with sincerity. She fights off all jerks, earns money while raising the kids, and lives a wonderful life in the 1980s compound.
