Chloe, a school girl with a blocked bloodline and a short life, completely breaks ties with her scheming apprentice Blair due to two contracts. She meets the ancient abyss python Ethan and enters into a life and death contract with him. Together, they break the bloodline curse, quell the shadow curse, and ultimately stay together.
