She fought desperately to break free from the golden cage in which her thousand-year-old vampire adoptive father had imprisoned her for eighteen years, yet she could not escape the eternal blood pact embedded in her heart. When she fell in love with a human physician, this blood pact summoned her adoptive father back. This time, he transformed into the mysterious benefactor behind his boyfriend—first elevating his rival while simultaneously undermining her, acting as a male mistress to assert his dominance; then, he withdrew his fangs, inviting her to make a genuine choice for herself within the realm of clarity and freedom.
