Hasta ep. 80

Transmigrator Zhang Yuan serves as magistrate of Pingyang County for three years. Using modern knowledge, he turns the barren county into a prosperous haven, yet submits yearly petitions feigning poverty to fool the imperial court. Empress Zhou Caihuang travels incognito disguised as a man. She sees through his deception, marvels at his talent, and summons him to the capital. They test each other before cooperating closely. Zhang Yuan revitalizes industries, roots out corruption and relieves famines. Eventually Zhou Caihuang reveals her true female identity. Zhang Yuan is ennobled as Prince of Pingyang and lives freely with his confidants.
