A sudden fire broke out in a residential community, trapping two-year-old Li Xuanxuan inside the burning building. Ye Xiaoxiao, a female college student, stepped forward to call for help. Captain He Feng led the firefighters to the emergency rescue. However, vehicle owner Zhang Guifang blocked the fire engine and hindered the child’s transfer to hospital repeatedly, demanding an exorbitant compensation claim on the grounds that her car had been scratched. Tragically, the toddler died due to delayed treatment. Only then did Zhang Guifang learn that the victim was her own grandson, overcome with remorse.
