Chen Yan and her coworkers are reborn pre-apocalypse, only to be locked in the office for retaliation. Guided by a system warning of an upcoming extreme heat doomsday, she sells her house and takes loans to build a heavily insulated safe house in her hometown while stockpiling cooling supplies, food and weapons. Her colleagues mock her as they stock cold-proof gear instead. When scorching temperatures plunge everyone into crisis, Chen Yan stays secure inside her bunker. She fends off besieging villagers, vengeful former coworkers and schemes from the enigmatic Shen Qing. After exposing his plot, she aids scientists to avert the apocalypse and rebuild a peaceful life.
