In order to save her father, Wen Ning married Sheng Yanting, the royal spokesperson, in place of her sister. After their marriage, the two signed an agreement to keep their marital relationship a secret from the public. Three years later, Wen Ning became Sheng Yanting's exclusive interpreter, yet she was unaware that this decision was made by Sheng Yanting. One day, due to an accident, Wen Ning was kidnapped. Sheng Yanting refused to pay the ransom. Although Wen Ning managed to escape from the kidnappers, she began to resent Sheng Yanting. She then pretended to be a kidnapper and threatened him to divorce, but unexpectedly, she was caught up in an even greater crisis. During this process, Wen Ning found that her feelings for Sheng Yanting were gradually changing, and Sheng Yanting also started to show his concern for Wen Ning.
