After werewolf heir Victor dies, his human widow Violet arrives at Moon Shadow Castle, where Edward, Victor's brother and the new Alpha heir, scorns her as a gold-digger. Their tension deepens because of a secret one-night stand three years earlier. When Violet's brother tries to force her to abort, Edward saves her. Despite prejudice and forbidden desire, they fall in love and discover they are fated mates.
