In order to accumulate merits and return to the living world, she became a ferryman. Every day, she endured the excruciating pain of being corroded by the water of the River Lethe. However, she was betrayed by Ji Shian, and then resolutely left him to return to the living world alone. Without Shen Nian, Ji Shian was extremely regretful. He remembered all the goodness of Shen Nian and wanted to win her back.
