For seven years, Lyanna has been rejected and humiliated by her fiancé, Valen Grimm. On Maiden’s Day, she finally draws the legendary Dragon’s Breath, but discovers Valen never planned to marry her. Then a terrifying black dragon descends from the sky. Its rider, the powerful Dragon Lord Valerion Vane, claims Lyanna as the woman he has secretly loved for years. As Valen watches her leave with another man, Lyanna finally realizes she was never meant to beg for love—she was meant to be chosen.
