Makeup Artist Elena is hired to prepare a dead woman's face. To her horror, the woman is her twin sister Nora, covered in torture wounds. They call it a "sudden illness." To investigate Nora's death, Elena enters the Convent of Saint Maria as Cecilia, hiding her face. With illusions, poison, and deception, Elena turns four killers against each other. But strange events draw Magistrate Caesar in. He sees through her disguise, torn between justice and love. Elena's revenge reaches a bloody climax.
