Emily returns from a plane crash to find her best friend Serena has stolen her husband, her son, her parents, and her secret career. Her manipulated son pushes her down the stairs—she loses her baby. Her husband throws the child away, beats her, and leaves her to burn alive. Rescued by Noah, the man who saved her from the wreckage, Emily finally walks away. She rebuilds, finds new love, and never looks back. By the time Jason discovers the daughter he rejected was his own, Emily has already found a new family.
