Ten years after Obsidian heir Cassius secretly spared Silver Moon pup Elena, they reunite as professor and student at Moonridge Academy. Bullied for being "wolf-less," Elena awakens her hidden bloodline and discovers Cassius is her fated mate. When his pack hunts her, Cassius betrays them and is captured by his father. Elena escapes to the western wasteland, vowing to return and save him.
