Top investor Zelda Shaw built her husband Hector Smith from unknown crew to famous director. But success went to his head. He publicly ignored her at awards, flirted with a junior actress, and replaced Zelda's chosen lead. Heartbroken, she pulls her investment, fires him, and divorces. Hector's solo film flops, Natalie betrays him, and he breaks down. Zelda backs a new director, and her film becomes a hit, even snagging an Oscar nod.
