Thrown out by her cheating husband for refusing to raise his mistress's child, plus-size Lena answers a strange ad for a live-in stepmother. The job leads her to Steven Valentio, New York's feared mafia Don, and his traumatized little boy, Theo. As Lena wins Theo's heart and rebuilds her own, Steven turns their practical marriage into real devotion. When her ex returns to shame her, Lena is no longer a discarded wife. She is the Donna he must beg to face.
