Evelyn, a fast-food waitress, catches the eye of mob boss Howard at first sight. To save her mother, Evelyn has no choice but to sign a one-year contract marriage with him. Dominant and cold on the surface, Howard gradually falls deeply in love with her and solves all her troubles. Evelyn slowly lets go of her resistance and discovers the tenderness hidden beneath his icy exterior. She also uncovers the truth that he was the one who saved her five years ago. After surviving life-or-death trials including kidnappings, high-stakes gambles and gunfights, their marriage built on a business deal blooms into an unforgettable, profound love.
