She resolutely divorces. Drawing on her long-held professional knowledge, she joins a state-owned factory, rising from consultant to deputy technical director and leading the factory through transformation. Meanwhile, the Chens collapse due to illegal stockpiling, corruption and fraud, and her ex-husband lands in jail.
